Bio
Associate Professor Juan Pablo Hurtado Cruz, BE Mining, PhD Fluid Mechanics Professor of Mine Ventilation, Mine Services and Computational Fluid Dynamic at Mining Engineering Department of the University of Santiago of Chile, Chile. Since 2007 he is working on University of Santiago de Chile. He has been researching in mine ventilation and fans since 2003 with experimental and computing modelling, focusing in fan noise, pollutants, shock losses, ventilation control systems, components selection on auxiliary ventilation among others improvement on the ventilation designs. Other researching of the speaker are related with fragmentation measurements methodologies in caving and educational aspects at mine engineering. Nowadays, he is the Director of the mining Engineering Department at University of Santiago de Chile.
