Bio
Dave Yantek is a Lead Research Engineer at the NIOSH Pittsburgh Mining Research Division. Dave received his BSME from Penn State University in 1995 and his MSME from Penn State in 1996. Prior to joining NIOSH in 2001, Dave worked for Ingersoll-Rand's Road Machinery Division where he performed testing and analysis on construction equipment. For his first 10 years at NIOSH, Dave conducted hearing loss prevention and noise control research related to mining equipment. Since 2012, Dave has conducted multiple research projects on underground coal mine refuge chambers.
