Bio
Javier Fernandez is the Deputy CEO of Zitrón, a worldwide leader in the delivery of underground ventilation solutions for the mining and infrastructure sectors.
With a mechanical and aeronautical engineering background, Javier has been with Zitrón since 2004 and possesses a wealth of experience in ventilation for underground environments, having worked on some of the world’s leading underground mines and transport tunnels.
In the mining sector, Javier has been involved in the delivery of ventilation systems for some of the world’s major mining companies, including BHP, Newmont and MMG, amongst others, and in locations as diverse as Finland, The Philippines, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Australia, to name just a few.
Javier’s extensive technical knowledge, customer-focused approach and commitment to detail have enabled him to cement Zitrón’s reputation as a preferred provider of ventilation systems that are essential in order to operate in difficult underground environments.
