Bio
August Greth is a graduate research assistant currently focusing on respirable coal
mine dust monitoring and characterization while pursuing his PhD at Virginia Tech. August earned his
Bachelor's and Master's in mining engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno
where he researched heat monitoring and mitigation methods in underground mines.
August's industry experience has included work in underground coal, underground
copper, contracted mine development, and consulting.
