Overview
Bio
Zhongbei Li is currently pursuing his PhD in Mining Engineering at the University of Wollongong, under the guidance of Professor Ting Ren. He completed his M.Eng. in Safety Science and Engineering at the China University of Mining and Technology-Beijing in 2020.
His research is primarily focused on the critical areas of coal mine gas prevention and control, and CO2 storage in abandoned coal mines. He has had the opportunity to contribute to the scientific community through several peer-reviewed papers published in reputable journals such as Energy and the International Journal of Mining Science and Technology.
Recently, his research interests have broadened to include multi-component gas competitive adsorption and migration behaviors, precise measurement of coal seam gas content, and nitrogen injection for enhanced coal seam gas recovery. His work aligns with the current industry needs and aims to contribute to the development of safer and more efficient mining practices.
As a participant in the NAMVS 2023 symposium, Zhongbei is eager to learn from experts in the field and contribute to the collective knowledge of mine gas and related topics.
