Dr. Bharath Belle is Technical Lead/Principal Manager at Anglo American Coal Business in Australia. He has wide and in depth global multi commodity (diamond, coal, platinum, gold) underground mining exposure over 25 years on LOM strategy and design, consultancy and operational and project reviews of high performance safe production environments, international regulatory aspects of health and safety risks of dust/DPM exposure monitoring and controls, major safety risk critical technology (ventilation, gas, cooling and sponcom) control system development in surface and underground environments and in depth lead auditor experience of business and safety critical governance and assurance risk reviews. Dr. Belle is a registered professional mining engineer (B.E., M.Sc. [Penn State] and PhD [Wits]), MDP (Stellenbosch) and University of Cambridge (UK) and UQ Sustainability Programme and Graduate Certificate in Applied Statistics (Y2022) from Penn State. Dr Belle, serves as Adjunct Professor of Mining Engineering at UNSW (Sydney), University of Queensland, and University of Pretoria, South Africa. Dr. Belle is a recognized deep technical expert on global ventilation engineering and Chair of the IMVC 2024 to be held in Sydney.
